Chinese leadership can save humanity in the fight against global warming, says James Hansen

Dr. James Hansen never give up urging governments to act against global warming. In a recent op-ed “The price of change”  in the South-China Morning Post on November 3, 2010, he says that China could become the leader in the fight against global warming.

It is time to seize – the clean energy – future.

Putting aside all the critics about his actions, inaction, ways of doing things, this is the message I would like to keep from the 27 May 2010 Obama’s Press Conference on the status of the BP oil spill. We need to stop messing around with nature. We all need to develop a more responsible attitude to physical environment. We need to realise that by protecting and maintaining our resources we protect and sustain our lives, our future. We need to move away from oil and work instead to drive forward the global clean energy revolution.

NPR says that Oil Spill may be 10 Times Larger than Official Estimates
