We usually use the term ‘political power’ to describe the ability of a person or a group of people in authority to shape and control the political behaviour of others. The people who use political power are usually elected by the people themselves, but instead of serving the people who have elected them, they demonstrate [...]

Paul Ryan. Ο επόμενος Πρόεδρος;

Business in politics ή τι δουλειά έχει η αλεπού στο κοτέτσι;

Οι «malicious forces» του κ. Γ.

“Beware” of the Miliband brothers
Two perceptions about the two brothers hold sway in the Westminster rookery, the last few years. One says that David is a prime minister in waiting while Ed, lives in his shadow. The other maintains that David lacks the necessary skills for No 10, but Ed possesses them in abundance and one day will be Labour’s leader and Britain’s prime minister.

Alchemists – Leaders for the 21st century by Mimis Androulakis
(Repost) I read Androulakis’ book “Alchemists” for second time, after his last book about the market crashes and the deep and wide shifts of the global capitalism. The first time it was, I think, on 2005. Now in the middle of the economic crisis, and due to the elections in Greece next month, this book [...]

Scientists responsibility to society. Lessons from the past
On 1st March 1954, the United States dropped a bomb on the Pasific Island known as a Bikini Atoll. The blast was much larger than the scientists had expected and the wind sent the radioactive material over populated islands. As a result one member of the crew of a Japanese fishing boat died and the [...]

The bad, the good and the beautiful of Euro-elections!
Immigration, especially from Africa is a huge issue and a reason of great concern. But, people are not going to stop coming to Europe. They are coming because it is not possible for them to live in their countries, due to war, poverty or hunger. These people are deprived of hope. They need help. The [...]
