Fires in Amazon cancel part of the Emission Reduction and Conservation Program
A new a new research, led by the University of Exeter and published on June 4, in Science, found that an increase in fires in the Brazilian Amazon, risks cancelling part of the carbon savings achieved by UN measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from deforestation and degradation.

Palm oil industry advert ‘misled’ the public over biodiversity and sustainability
The palm industry is considered by scientists and environmental groups as the biggest threat to orang-utan. Due to its unsustainable expansion, the Sumatran tiger and other species are also threatened with extinction. The palm oil industry is associated with human rights violations and worker exploitation.

If being too big is a wrong practice, then why we are doing it again?
It has become very common and “fashionable” lately to say and indeed agree that the lack of regulation and being big (banks, companies etc) are two of the main reasons for the current bad and disastrous for the next generation situation, where governments, using taxpayers money, try to save businesses because if they don’t we may experience a collapse of the economic and social systems.
